The 2026 GWM BMX Racing National Championships brings Australia’s top BMX racers to Shepparton to go head-to-head across 20” and Cruiser, from Mini Wheelers through to Elite, Masters and Para BMX.

The 2026 GWM BMX Racing National Championships is the key onshore qualifier for the 2026 UCI BMX Racing World Championships in Brisbane. For eligible riders, your performance here can put you on the path to racing the world’s best, right here on Australian soil.

World Championships qualification
The 2026 GWM BMX Racing National Championships is the official onshore qualifying event for the 2026 UCI BMX Racing World Championships, to be held in Brisbane in July.
For eligible categories, results at Nationals will be used for World Championships qualification and selection.

If racing at the 2026 UCI BMX Racing World Championships is your goal, Nationals is where it starts.
Eligibility and Membership
To enter the 2026 GWM BMX Racing National Championships, all riders must meet Australian eligibility requirements to compete at the National Championships.
AusCycling membership
- Riders must hold a current AusCycling Off Road membership
- Membership must be valid for the duration of the event
UCI ID
- Eligible riders must hold a valid 2026 UCI ID with an ‘AUS’ designation (or an AUS-designated licence issued by another UCI-affiliated federation). Mini Wheelers and Sprockets are exempt from the UCI ID requirement, and eligible non-Australian riders under 18 may enter but are not eligible for Australian team selection or national title.
Not a member?
- Riders who are not currently members will need to join or upgrade their AusCycling membership before entering

National titles will be contested across 20” and Cruiser in the following categories:
- Challenge
- Challenge Cruiser
- Para BMX
- Junior Superclass
- Superclass
- Masters
- Junior Elite
- U23
- Elite
With participation events available for Mini Wheelers and Sprockets.
Category eligibility, age and licence requirements apply in line with AusCycling and UCI regulations. Riders are encouraged to confirm their category eligibility before entering.
